No personally identifiable information is stored by the SA Fire Alert app.
In order to provide you with alerts that are relevant to you, we need to store a unique identifier (which has been allocated by the Google Cloud Messaging service in relation to your Google account) and the set of suburbs that you have configured are of interest.
Any association between the unique identifier and your Google account is maintained by Google and is not accessible to our servers or this app.
The SA Fire Alert app aims to provide timely notification of fire incidents that relate to one or more locations within South Australia that you designate are of interest to you. In order to provide these notifications, the software has to rely on a number of third-party service providers. These include the Country Fire Service (CFS), Internet Service Providers, Electricity Providers, Mobile Network Providers, and others. Services provided by any or all of these providers may be off-line, degraded, inaccurate or unavailable at any given point in time. The information used to provide you with notifications may also be subject to human error and may not always be accurate. By using the SA Fire Alert app, you accept that the continuity of supply, timeliness, completeness and accuracy of this service may be degraded, interrupted or erroneous at any time.
The SA Fire Alert app and its supporting back-end software was developed as a student work-experience project and has not undergone rigorous testing that might otherwise be expected of commercial-grade software.
If you rely on the information provided by the SA Fire Alert app, you are responsible for ensuring by independent verification, its accuracy, currency and completeness. Neither Daniel Emery or Innovation Science Pty Ltd, its agents, officers, employees, licensors, suppliers and associates make any representations, express or implied, as to the accuracy of the information and data contained in or delivered by this app, or that the app will operate without error.

The SA Fire Alert application uses information published by the South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS) which is licensed from the Government of South Australia under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia Licence. Certain location and post code data used by this application has been licensed from www.geonames.org under the Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution licence. Continued hosting of back-end infrastructure required by this app is provided by Innovation Science Pty Ltd.
